ACCOUNTABILITY

Corrections and change record

Material errors are corrected visibly. We do not silently erase the history of a substantive mistake.

Last updated 30 August 2026

How corrections work

  • Correct the affected page promptly after verification.
  • State what was wrong and what replaced it when the error was material.
  • Preserve the correction with the relevant Watchdesk or suburb record.
  • Do not remove a fair response merely because a newer headline has arrived.

Current correction record

  • 28 August 2026 — Beckenham local government corrected from City of Canning to City of Gosnells. The suburb shares postcode 6107 with Cannington but not its council.
  • 28 August 2026 — Armadale and Camillo separated into distinct suburb records because their postcodes differ: 6112 and 6111.
  • 28 August 2026 — REIWA weekly sales figure corrected from 622 to 621 in the earlier beta edition; subsequent verified editions superseded that figure.

Submitting a correction

The public contact inbox is not yet active. The Contact page states this clearly rather than pretending a submission has been received. Once a monitored inbox is connected, correction requests should identify the page, disputed sentence, supporting record and requested amendment.
