Your saved local brief, followed places and update status remain stored in your browser unless you separately request email alerts.

For email alerts, Little Headlines Perth collects the email address, selected topics and frequency, subscription status, consent and preference events, and delivery outcomes needed to provide the service.

Email alerts use double opt-in: a request remains pending until the reader confirms it through the email sent to that address. The consent ledger records the disclosure version, request and confirmation time, selected topics and later preference or unsubscribe events.

Every alert provides a management link that does not require an account or password. Unsubscribe requests are applied immediately in the service and suppression records are retained so delivery does not accidentally restart.

The website and structured subscriber records are hosted using OpenAI Sites and Cloudflare infrastructure. Resend processes addresses and delivery information to send confirmation and alert emails. These providers may process information outside Australia under their own security and privacy arrangements.

Active subscription and delivery records are kept while required to provide alerts and resolve delivery problems. Unsubscribed or suppressed addresses are retained in a limited suppression record where necessary to respect the opt-out and demonstrate compliance. Readers may request access, correction or deletion through the published contact channel once connected.

The hosting platform may process ordinary request information needed to deliver and secure the website, such as network, browser and error data. Little Headlines Perth does not build advertising profiles or sell personal information.

Buttons such as Useful, I’m affected and Something is missing send the selected response, the page address and a random browser key. The one-minute reader test also records the selected clarity, usefulness, return-intent and most-useful answers, plus any optional comment. The key lets a reader change an earlier response without providing a name or email address.

Feedback is used to improve coverage and product decisions. It is not sold, used for advertising profiles or connected to an email-alert subscription.

Links to councils, government bodies, courts, regulators and publishers lead to third-party sites with their own privacy practices. Little Headlines Perth does not control those sites.

The service is intended for general property and community information. It is not designed to collect personal information from children.
