WHAT IS CONFIRMED
ABC reported that Consumer Protection investigated a Kenwick sale and issued Ideal Realty a formal warning relating to an alleged conflict of interest. No fine was issued. REIWA separately disqualified Roy Li from its 2026 awards over discrepancies in submitted sales data.
RESPONSE / CONTEXT
Mr Li denies failing to disclose his interest, saying the seller knew he was the buyer and late written disclosure was an administrative oversight. He said sales-price entry errors were reviewed and corrected information supplied.
WHAT HAPPENS NEXT
REIWA says it is considering an audit of data submitted for previous years. Watch for any further regulator, REIWA or procedural outcome.
